Join the northwest’s only barrel racing program designed to build confident horses and riders of all levels for the long run.
The Program
Level 1 Beginner
Level 1 riders either have never ridden or have had very little prior time and instruction on a horse. Kids must be 7yrs old or older to start riding with us. To go through our beginner program you must commit to 24 lessons with our amazing beginner instructor, Elie and have a strong interest in barrel racing in the future. These lessons would be twice weekly as that will obtain optimal results for you or your child. Beginner lesson packages expire 3 months after the first lesson or we reach 24 lessons, whichever occurs first.
Once riders have completed 24 lessons, we will have an evaluation and goals meeting to determine if they are ready to step up to level 2 or continue with another round of beginner lessons.
Beginner lessons are taught on our lesson horse and are about 60mins in duration
Boots are required
helmets are required on those 18 and under and strongly encouraged for everyone.
Level 4 Elite Rider
Rider has been exclusively riding in our program for 2 years or more and is seeking to compete at the next level.
Rider must own their own horse or have a long term lease in place.
Rider is required to take 2 lessons per week and at the trainer's discretion, their horse is in full time training.
Rider competes regularly throughout the season on our team, locally
Rider is eligible and expected to compete with us on a regional and national level 2X per year.
Coaching required
Yearly commitment
Level 2 Intermediate
Rider may step up from level 1 or if they did not begin riding with us, be evaluated and prove that they are at an intermediate riding level. These riders may ride our intermediate lesson horses or have the option to lease a horse from us. Purchasing a horse is also available but not encouraged at this level.
Rider will begin working around the barrels and learning fundamental mechanics of the horses’ movement. Riders will also start to learn about connection, collection, forward motion, and how that relates to the barrel pattern.
If rider is on a leased horse, then they are eligible to attend up to four barrel races in a given season with us to begin learning to compete. Coaching at the races is required

I’ve been one of Jennifer’s students for almost two years now. I was in search of a barn where I felt included and seen, and I was in search of a trainer that was willing to push me to make me the best rider I could possibly be. In this program, Jennifer goes above and beyond to make sure that her clients feel seen and heard, and she works very closely with each individual client to make sure that their goals are not only met but exceeded
Jennifer not only teaches her students how to become better riders but also how to be better horsemen. Along the way, I’ve also acquired skills that can be applied into the real world. She teaches her students real-world skills such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. Most importantly, Jennifer emphasizes the importance of caring for their horses and for their teammates. One of the things that I admire about Jennifer the most is that she prioritizes the health of the horse. She makes sure that the horse is feeling the best it can so both the rider and horse can achieve optimal results in the arena. Being a student in this program has been such a blessing in my life and that, I’m so grateful to be a part of. - Anabelle Redder
